چکیده

Background: Biosurfactants are derived from microbes, plants, and animals. Acinetobacter junii B6 is a lipopeptide biosurfactant producer previously investigated for its structure, physicochemical, product aggregation properties. Objectives: In this study, we optimized the bioencapsulation of A. in calcium alginate hydrogel. Methods: was encapsulated using The formulation hydrogel full factorial approach. Sodium concentration, chloride hardening time were selected as main factors, surface tension response measure. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) used to study bead's morphology. Results: Scanning image showed rounded smooth beads. most production reduced (35.98 mN/m) observed at concentrations 1% chloride, (1%) sodium alginate, 15 minutes time. can be hydrogels producing optimum experimental design. Conclusions: This represents practical method optimizing produce biosurfactants.

Lipopeptide biosurfactant production bacteria Acinetobacter sp. D3-2 and its biodegradation of crude oil.

In this work, a hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium D3-2 isolated from petroleum contaminated soil samples was investigated for its potential effect in biodegradation of crude oil. The strain was identified as Acinetobacter sp. D3-2 based on morphological, biochemical and phylogenetic analysis. The optimum environmental conditions for growth of the bacteria were determined to be pH 8.0, with a NaCl...

Electrochemical Hydrogel Lithography of Calcium-Alginate Hydrogels for Cell Culture

Here we propose a novel electrochemical lithography methodology for fabricating calcium-alginate hydrogels having controlled shapes. We separated the chambers for Ca2+ production and gel formation with alginate with a semipermeable membrane. Ca2+ formed in the production chamber permeated through the membrane to fabricate a gel structure on the membrane in the gel formation chamber. When the ca...

bioencapsulation of biosurfactant-producing bacillus subtilis (ptcc 1023) in alginate beads

conclusions b. subtilis entrapped in beads was able to preserve its viability and produce biosurfactants as secondary metabolites. therefore, this method could be applied as a continuous culture system of biosurfactant production. methods alginate and bacterial solutions were mixed by stirring to obtain a uniform mixture and added by drops into cacl2 solution to form spherical beads. the spheri...

Acinetobacter junii as an aetiological agent of corneal ulcer

Rods of the Acinetobacter genus are present mainly in the external environment (e.g. water, soil) and in animals, while in humans they may comprise physiological flora. The main pathogenic species is Acinetobacter baumannii complex, which constitutes a common cause of nosocomial infections, particularly in patients with underlying diseases and risk factors (e.g. prior broad-spectrum antibiotic ...
